Privacy & SMS Policy

This policy explains how Wanderer ("Wanderer," "we," "us," or "our") handles your personal information, and the terms that apply when you receive text messages (SMS) from us. By creating an account or providing your mobile number, you agree to the practices described below.

Text message (SMS) terms

How we use text messages

Wanderer sends one-time SMS messages for account security and verification only — for example, a verification code to confirm it's really you when you sign in or set up your account. We do not use SMS for marketing or promotional messages.

Consent

When you enter your mobile phone number in the app and request a verification code, you consent to receive a one-time text message from Wanderer at that number. Providing your number is your choice, and consent is not a condition of any purchase.

Message frequency

Messages are sent on a one-time basis, only when you request a code (for example, each time you sign in or verify your number). We do not send recurring or scheduled messages.

Cost

Message and data rates may apply, depending on your mobile carrier and plan. Wanderer does not charge for these messages.

Opting out & help

Because these messages are one-time and only sent at your request, you can stop receiving them at any time by not requesting a code or by removing your number in the app. You may also reply STOP to opt out of further messages, or reply HELP for assistance. Delivery

Mobile carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Message delivery is subject to effective transmission by your carrier and is outside of Wanderer's control.

Your privacy

We do not sell, rent, or share your mobile phone number or SMS consent with third parties or affiliates for their marketing purposes. Phone numbers are shared only with the messaging provider that delivers the verification text on our behalf, solely to send that message. No mobile information is shared with third parties for marketing.

Sharing your information

We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with service providers who help us operate the app (such as our SMS delivery provider and analytics tools), and only as needed to provide the service — or where required by law.

Data retention & your choices

We keep your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the app. You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information at any time by contacting us. You can also delete your account from within the app.

Children's privacy

Wanderer is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we'll revise the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, notify you in the app.
